When I made a bow for the first time, I felt how much man and nature become one in it. For me, making a bow is a journey through time, through human history. Working on a bow gathers mind, body and all human senses.

When you shoot your selfbow for the first time, you may have reinvented yourself in that moment. For me, every newly made wooden bow stands for light, for hope and personal transformation.

Bowmaking itself is a meaningful balance to everyday life at work. I learned it from German, Austrian and Japanese master bow makers. Now I make outstanding bows from many continents and cultures out of joy and interest. I use almost exclusively natural materials, my bows are handmade. The wood comes mostly from Austrian forests.

I also do research on the vibration behavior and performance of historic bows. This sometimes yields interesting findings in the field of primitive bows and archeology.

For shooting, I have completed an instructor course. The knowledge from this helps me in my work.

From time to time I hold a beginners course in my Sparrowbows archery in Lower Austria.
